MX2030 Probe Series

The Metrix* MX2030 probe offers a full 80 mil (2mm) range, available in 5mm and 8mm. It’s designed for full API 670-compliant performance characteristics when used with a matching MX2031 extension cable and MX2033 driver. MX2030 probes are fully interchangeable with Bently Nevada** 3300 and 3300 XL 5mm/8mm probes. These proximity probes/transducers comply with API 670 specifications, and have North America, ATEX, IECEX, and other hazardous area approvals.

Proximity probes measure the relative movement of the rotor or piston rod to the casing of the machine. The probes themselves measure the movement of the machine rotor or reciprocating compressor piston rod, by the use of eddy currents produced in the metallic surface by the proximity probe system. The precision of the digital proximity system makes it ideal to measure the small movements of the rotor or piston rod. Proximity probes do not touch the metallic object they monitor, they’re an excellent choice for monitoring fluid film bearing machines and reciprocating compressor piston rods.

The MX2030 Proximity Series has the following properties:
