It’s important to choose seismic accessories based not only on the size of the equipment, but also on the individual circumstances of the operation.

Mechanical / Electrical Connections
Our seismic accessories offer robust mechanical and electrical connections for industrial use. Our splash-proof connectors and armored cables offer ease of installation. For conduit applications, many customers have used our conduit elbow to facilitate sensor and cable installations.

When conduit is used, ensure that flexible conduit is used within two feet (0.6 meters) of the sensor. This allows the sensor to move prior to any rigid conduit. When using armored cable, ensure that adequate bend radiuses are used to prevent damaging the cable within the armor.

Customers have found that when they do not have adequate clearance to take portable data measurements, mounting a permanent seismic sensor along with an armored cable to a patch panel has been an effective way to gain access to the measurement location.
