IT6800 Impact Transmitters
The Impact Transmitter is one of the most important devices to monitor a reciprocating compressor or reciprocating engine. The impact measurement was born out of frustration after years of trying to apply traditional vibration monitoring techniques to recips. There is a significant difference between a vibration signal and an impact signal. A vibration signal is considered to be steady state or “periodic” and conventional measurement and analysis techniques can be applied. An impact signal is “non-periodic” so conventional measurement and analysis techniques are not used. The Metrix Impact Transmitters are designed to make installation easy in hazardous rated environments. The IT6810 is used in Class 1 Div 2 (Zone 2) environments. The IT6811 includes an integral cable. The IT6812 is an IT6810 is an explosion-proof housing. It’s intended to be used in a Class 1 Div 1 (Zone 0) environment.

IT6810 Impact Transmitters
The IT6810 Impact Transmitter, with integral signal conditioner, measures mechanical looseness with the convenience of 4-20 mA loop powered sensor technology and a 2 pin MIL-C-5015 style connector.

IT6811 Impact Transmitters
The IT6811 Impact Transmitter utilizes a cable with a twisted shielded pair using 20 AWG wires and a black polyurethane jacket with a 1/2-14 NPT connection.

IT6812 Impact Transmitters
The IT6812 utilizes an explosion-proof housing so it can be used in a Class 1 Div 1 hazardous area. The associated cable is connected via the terminal block within the explosion-proof housing.
